Metsovo Pies

Alfa is the first to create a pie originating directly from Metsovo. Inspired by an authentic, Greek traditional recipe, it comes with a country-style filo and a rich, delicious filling. It comes with a baking pan for easy, healthy and perfect baking (top and bottom).

Metsovo pie with myzithra & feta

There are times when we all want to taste a pie but not just any pie! That’s when, the traditional Metsovo cheese pie becomes the answer to our craving! Made according to the local Epirus recipe, with a rich feta and myzithra filling and a crunchy country-style filo! Only from alfa pastry. Available in two sizes 850g & 454g.

INGREDIENTS

Wheat flour, myzithra cheese 28%(whey cheese)(pasteurized cow,goat and sheep's milk whey,salt),water, vegetable oils 9% (cottonseed oil) ,Feta PDO cheese 6%(pasteurized goat and sheep's milk,salt,rennet,lactic acid bacteria culture), corn starch. contains less than 2%: wheat semolina, extra virginolive oil 1%,salt, dextrose, contiments. Produced in a factory that uses mustard, sesame, nuts, soy products,celery and egg.

BAKING INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat the oven to 180°C-200°C (355-390°F). Remove only the paper cover of the package and place the pie along with its paper pan on the middle grate of the oven. Bake for 10 minutes and then remove the pastry and cut it with a knife so that the pieces are seperated. Τhen bake it for about another 25-30 minutes (depending on your oven) until it turns golden brown. NOTE: Not suitable for microwave cooking - To cook more than one tray simultaneously, the oven must have a hot air system.

Proud to be from a village! The country-style filo dough and the rich spinach and PDO feta cheese filling compose Metsovo's unique pie from alfa pastry. A taste of the authentic Greek tradition, in every bite. Available in two sizes 850g & 454g.

Wheat flour, 19% spinach, water,Myzithra whey cheese 14% (pasteurized cow,goat and sheep's milk whey,salt), cottonseed oil 9%, onion, wheat semolina, Feta PDO cheese 3%(pasteurized goat and sheep's milk, salt, rennet, lactic acid bacteria culture). Contains less than 2%: extra virgin olive oil 1%, salt, dextrose, corn starch, yeast extract, vegetable protein (contains soy), vegetable extracts, condiments. Produced in a factory that uses mustard, sesame, nuts, celery and egg.
